CellGro® DC Medium

The New Standard for the Generation of Dendritic Cells

CellGro® DC is the serum-free medium developed for optimal generation of dendritic cells and produced according to GMP guidelines:
 
serum-free - no substitution with autologous plasma or FCS is needed
safety - contains human derived or human recombinant proteins only
high performance - recommended on the basis of successful in-house and customer data
"one-for-all" - optimized for generating DCs from monocytes and CD34+ stem cells

ex vivo manipulation - facilitates ex vivo manipulation of DCs, e.g. antigen loading

The choice of culture conditions - medium, cytokine cocktail, etc. - influences the results of ex vivo culture dramatically. Defined serum-free conditions are preferable because they improve safety and standardization, e.g. functionality of dendritic cells. Serum contains proteases that may alter the antigenicity of peptides added to in vitro on DC preparations. In addition, serum contains numerous proteins, which may interfere with the method of antigen capture and processing.
